Americana

There’s something about stripes in navy and white- and about this dress in particular, that made me think Americana, when I saw it.

I was actually planning to shoot it during my trip to Waikiki next week, but I couldn’t resist wearing it to a barbecue over the weekend. (What can I say? I don’t get out much, so if there’s an opportunity to get dressed up, I’m gonna go for it)!

I couldn’t find my strapless (strange, because it’s always in its special place), but I’m glad I didn’t let a lost bra stop me- a girl’s gotta wear what a girl’s gotta wear, when she wants to wear it!

So my advice is this: If there’s a dress you want to wear, but you can’t find or simply can’t wear a strapess bra, wear the dress anyway! Life’s too short and there are far too many amazing dresses, to let a bra technicality stop you from feeling fabulous.
