Every year when wedding season rolls around, my inbox gets flooded with emails asking where to find wedding dresses over size 12. This year, instead of only answering each individual message, I wanted to spread the love with the entire Girl With Curves community here on the blog, in hopes of this information reaching all the brides-to-be out there looking for the perfect dress for that special day!

I can tell you from personal experience, the quest for the perfect wedding dress literally feels like finding a needle in a haystack! From struggles finding samples in my size, to the limited selection of gowns that matched my specific vision and price-point, saying the struggle was real, is a major understatement. But that was nearly seven years ago- today, a variety of boutiques and designers have amazing selections of wedding dresses in larger sizes (including the perfect little white dress for your dinner rehearsal and reception)!

THE TRADITIONAL BRIDE

Stella York creates heavily embellished gowns, and offers a variety of shapes from fit-and-flare to the traditional ball gown.

I also love David’s Bridal for their gorgeously detailed yet reasonably priced selection.
