Have you ever seen a piece that literally takes your breath away? That’s how I felt when I saw this sundress! It’s rare to come across a sundress that’s both comfortable and elegant in a retro film star kind of way, so after my heart stopped palpitating, I snatched it up immediately.

I’m obsessed with the print, an eye-catching mix of geometric patterns and florals that instantly transported me to summer in Europe when I saw it. The wide straps are perfect for hiding bra straps, and the cinched waistline falls at just the right place to keep me comfortable all day – not too high or low, and fitted enough to show off my figure even though the skirt has some fullness. The tea-length makes it the perfect choice for any occasion and allows some movement, if you do decide to wear it out all day (but it’s a great date night dress, too, in my opinion!). Even better? It’s made out of stretch cotton, so you won’t break a sweat.

To play off the retro vacation vibe of the dress, I paired it with espadrille wedges. To me, these are the perfect summer shoes – super comfy but beautifully constructed, in a lightweight fabric that lets your feet breathe. The jute-wrapped base and heel are also super on trend right now because they pair so easily with the straw bags that are everywhere this season – these wedges will get a ton of use all summer.

You’ve probably noticed I frequently feature looks from Nordstrom Encore, and it’s because I consistently find beautiful, well-made pieces that fit me to a T. They carry an incredible selection of clothing in plus sizes – and not just in the dress department, there’s just so many great options to choose from.
