How to make Gingham Wearable for Everyday

One of my favorite pastimes is finding new ways to mix up seasonal trends. Unexpected combinations always catch my eye, so when I saw these two pieces hanging side by side in my closet, I had to wear them together.

While gingham is classic and girly, wearing it with a structured utility jacket tones down the femininity factor, making the print more wearable for everyday. A look like this is the perfect balance of polished and casual- an outfit that’s put together but also made for lounging or adventuring.

The jacket and skinny jeans keep the look low-key, while the gingham top and structured handbag make it more fashion-forward. These chic slides are my go-to now that sunny days are more frequent – I get to show off my pedi and stay comfy at the same time.
