If you’ve been following along for a while, you know that I love fashion, but I’m all about versatility, which means any item (no matter how cute it is), doesn’t make it into my closet unless I can style it at least two different ways. But what if I could take the versatility factor up a notch and style one item so it functions as two different garments entirely?! Enter my latest wardrobe addition: a sweater dress that functions as both a dress AND a top!

I’ve been talking about Walmart for months now, and for good reason – month after month, their selection just keeps getting better and better. Last month I picked up this pair of faux leather leggings I’ve been wearing non-stop, and today I’m excited to share the item that’s quickly becoming the hero of my closet.

Whether you prefer it paired with sneakers and a denim jacket, or dressed up with leggings and booties, this recent find is certainly a must-have! From the medium weight fabric, to the gorgeous, unexpected color and amazing fit, I’m honestly shocked it’s only $34. And I’m definitely planning on picking it up in the black, now that I’m head over heels for this orange version.

To achieve the ruched sweater look, I simply tucked a corner into the waistband of the leggings and let the fabric gather naturally at the hem of the sweater. I think it’s such a great alternative to wearing it the obvious way its meant to be worn, especially if you want something a bit more unique and curve-accentuating. Be sure to watch my stories on Instagram today to see exactly how I did it!
