If you think tropical print is only something you can wear on a Hawaiian vacation, think again! This season, the island-inspired vibe is popping up everywhere, from tops to dresses and this skirt I had to have.

In addition to reminding me of vacation (always a good thing!), tropical prints add instant style and fun to even the simplest outfits. Instead of loud and over-the-top, this season’s prints are pretty and totally wearable, like this version in a soft pink palette, which works just as well for a trip to the beach as it does in the office.

The key to styling tropical prints? Keep the rest of your look minimal so the print can really stand out. Here, I paired the skirt with a basic white tee, a wicker bag (another spring must-have!), and yellow pumps to play off the yellow in the skirt. If I wanted to polish the look even more for work or dinner out, I could top it off with a white or nude tone blazer.
