If you’re familiar with my style, you know that my favorite skirt lengths are midi and maxi, because they’re universally flattering and modestly cut, making them appropriate for a wide range of occasions. During summer though, a maxi can be a little too warm, depending on the fabric. That’s where the wrap skirt comes in! With it’s midaxi length, high low hem that slight’s longer in back, it’s the perfect marrying of my two favorite skirt lengths, made of-the-moment with a feminine, wrap silhouette.
I recently this floral print wrap skirt at Express and immediately fell in love. The faux wrap creates a slight ruffle effect which I love, giving it the perfect balance of sophisticated yet sexy, and the floral print is subtle enough to wear casual, but elegant enough to dress it up.
Express has been one of my go-to stores since high school, and I’m impressed with how they continue to create trend-forward pieces that are well made, reasonably priced and super flattering, throughout the years. Even more exciting is the fact that they recently extended their size range from 00/XXS to 18/XXL, both online and in stores! I highly recommend browsing their site for skirts and tops right now, especially — they have lots of amazing summer styles! And right now, you can get $25 off every $100 you spend with code: 4286 through 9/30/18, in-store and online.
For this look, I wanted keep the focus on the skirt, so I paired it with a scoop neck racerback tank, espadrilles, a straw tote and a denim jacket for those transitional weather winds we’re still experiencing in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Thanks to Express for sponsoring this post.
