We all know the power of great outerwear in the winter- my personal favorite is a trapeze coat like the one I’m wearing (available here), but we often forget about the one thing that can break or in this case make an outfit: shoes. These red flats sat in my closet for months until I was recently faced with the challenge of finding the right shoe for this outfit.
Without a statement shoe, this outfit is nice, but nowhere near as exciting as it is with an unexpected pop of red below the knee. So next time you’re left pondering how to take your winter ensemble up a notch, reach for a colorful flat, rain boot or sneaker- a statement shoe can transform your entire look!
