There’s something I really love about brights during winter. Trust me, when people saw this outfit walking down the street, they did a double take! Because while most people depend on the weather to inspire their color palette, I love wearing the opposite of what the weather calls for, especially bright, bold color in the winter. After all, just because the weather is drab, doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to be!
This dress is a recent find in my favorite shade of yellow, which I’ll be wearing in the Spring with these slides and this bamboo bag. To play up the bold color even more, I paired it with a navy peacoat and neutral accessories. Statement coats are a great way to inject some fun into cold weather dressing, but if you favor classic style like I do, trade your timeless black coat for a different color in your favorite silhouette- like I did with this peacoat, which goes really far in perking up a winter wardrobe.
