I seriously can’t believe the holiday season is already here! Lately I find myself looking at Minnie thinking, where did the time go?! This time last year I was counting down the final weeks of my pregnancy, and now I get to watch this amazing little human learn to walk, talk and grow alongside her brother who loves her dearly.
We’re currently in the midst of doing some renovations at home and planning Minnie’s first birthday party, so everything is super busy as usual, but life is good.
Every year when the holidays roll around though, I find myself in a bit of a funk. I don’t know if it’s just burn out from general work and life, but I definitely have to make extra effort to stay in a positive head space this time of year.
Something that helps keep my mood in check is writing out a gratitude list, expressing who and what I’m grateful for. This year I wanted to share my list, in hopes of inspiring you to create your own, if you’re feeling any holiday blues.
Here are 5 things I’m grateful for:
I’m so grateful for where I am right now, living in the moment and enjoying my husband, kids and our fur baby. There’s nothing like feeling content and happy when you’re surrounded by loved ones.
It’s truly magical to be married to someone I consider my best friend, that fully supports me in my creative, professional endeavors, and is always there to remind me how great I am when I’m feeling less than. And I’m beyond thankful that he’s such an amazing father to our kids!
As the oldest of 6, I love having a big family, and I’m so grateful for our close relationships. It’s comforting to know that my siblings and parents are just a phone call away (and a few minutes drive!) whenever I need them.
I’m so grateful to be in the place I am now with my mental and physical health. This year has been a big shift for me in terms of mind and body awareness, and I look forward to treating my mind and body even better as time goes on.
I couldn’t complete this list without you all being on it! Having this community means the world to me, and I love how it allows me to grow and evolve alongside like-minded women from all over the world, who I consider friends.
I hope you all have a lovely holiday surrounded by loved ones!
