The Little Black Dress You Need for Summer

I love bold prints and colors, but I’ll never turn away a beautiful Little Black Dress (also known as a LBD). It’s a wardrobe staple every woman should own, and if you choose a classic fit, it can be worn through the seasons and for a variety of events – from work to cocktails to weddings. All you have to do is switch out your shoes and accessories to get a completely different look. It’s a real workhorse in your wardrobe!

That being said, even with the multitude of black dress options out there, it can still be tricky to find one that fits like a glove. The good news is, I’ve streamlined the search for you with this amazing find, a beautiful update to the fancy bodycon dress! It tastefully shows off my figure, is lightweight so it’s perfect for summer, and has strategically placed ruching so I don’t need to wear shapewear underneath (a major bonus). I also love that it mimics a t-shirt on top!

Here, I’ve styled it the way I would for a nighttime event or out on a date with my husband, with strappy nude heels, classic jewelry, and a woven clutch that’s dressy but still functional. This LBD can do daytime duty, too: just swap the heels for white converse and top off the look with a jean jacket. More proof that this truly is the most versatile bodycon LBD out there!
