In honor of National Dress Day today, I’m sharing 3 dresses that need to be in your wardrobe.

While I love taking inspiration from the runway, my personal style is much more focused on translating trends to make them wearable for everyday. This season’s runways were a little different however, showcasing timeless silhouettes with modern updates, making dresses visually stunning and totally wearable. Looks that are typically casual were dressed up a bit and vice-versa. So if you’re someone who is constantly going between work and play, you’re going to especially love these dresses!

THE SHIRTDRESS

The shirtdress is a seasonless go-to. To make it work for any occasion, stick with a classic, collared button down style that’s versatile enough for the office, after hours and special occasions.

THE MODERN LBD

No matter your favorite silhouette, the little black dress is a year-round essential. This season, choose one with a unique of-the-moment detail, like an off-shoulder, a waist-cinching style or a simple but chic classic that easily dresses up or down.

THE WRAP DRESS

The infamous wrap dress is ultra figure-flattering, timeless and makes a statement. Update this wardrobe staple with a statement print, high low hemline or unique fabric, keeping shoes and accessories neutral.
