Even if you’re a bona fide fashionista, there are some days when you just can’t figure out a practical outfit that makes you look and feel good.
Whether you’ve just had a bad week or you’re in a transitional body phase (hello, post-pregnancy!), there are totally times when you’re not feeling 100 percent, and can’t muster the energy to conjure up an outfit that will not only look stylish, but also boost your overall confidence.
I’ve had many of those days myself, and I’ve come to rely on the following three looks as easy wins whenever I’m feeling low or even just strapped for time to figure out an outfit that checks all the boxes. Reach for these the next time you need a little boost!
As easy as the classic tee-and-jeans combo, this look throws the unexpected and ultra-flattering look of a midi skirt into the mix. It can be a solid color skirt or something more bold, like a pleated version or print — whatever the case, it will elevate the turtleneck, show off your curves, and create a look that works for pretty much anything, from running errands to a date night on the town.
A perfect-fitting pair of jeans are always a solid go-to, and a pretty top brings another level of interest to the casual wardrobe staple. Bring it up a notch with a top that has interesting details or angles, like lace, an off-shoulder, or wrap top with balloon sleeves.
Even when my confidence is low, putting on a dress somehow always makes me feel a little happier. Keep it comfortable and easy with flats, but cinch the waist to instantly give the overall look a little more polish.
