If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you know I’m big on layering in the fall and I love stretching my wardrobe as far as possible! That said, there are certain staple pieces in my wardrobe I constantly rely on, season after season, to take my look up a fashionable notch without much effort.

During fall and winter, sweaters are my favorite way to layer looks by adding interest (and warmth!) to a simple outfit. This season, I encourage you to take your basic shell or cardigan to the next level with a modern blouse underneath, like I’ve done here. With the right layering pieces, you can completely transform your look, not to mention layer as many pieces as you’d like without adding bulk.

Each item I’m wearing is from my 13 piece collection I designed with the intention of showcasing wardrobe staples that mix well both together, as well as with things already in your closet. The Lucille chiffon stripe blouse is layered underneath the Grace sweater in ivory (which also comes in navy with black buttons!). The Jackie car coat in navy is also shown here (which comes in camel as well), worn with the Betty step-hem skinny jeans
