This Holiday Party Look is under $40

I rarely go into stores to shop for clothes, because let’s be real, most don’t carry anything over size 12. But whenever I need a last minute outfit, I know I can always count on Walmart to have something cute, of-the-moment and easy on my wallet. From everyday casual pieces to dressier separates like the one’s I’m wearing here, they always have lots of options to choose from in a range of sizes (and 2-day shipping on orders over $35 is free when you shop online)!

In search of a last minute holiday-worthy outfit for a dinner with friends, I headed to my local store and found the perfect look! I came across this plaid print skirt from Terra & Sky, and this baby pink cardigan from Time and Tru, paired them together and added black accessories.

I got the skirt in a size 0X so it fits tight across the hip, then tied a small knot using the excess fabric at the back of the knee, in order to give the skirt a sexy, pencil silhouette. I love how this look turned out, but what I’m most excited about though, is the fact that it was under $40 – cardigan, skirt and bag included.
