If there’s one outerwear piece everyone should have in her wardrobe this season, it’s the oversize check print coat – it goes with everything and is eternally classic.
A great coat is a must-have every season, but this fall I challenge you to stretch it’s wearability by styling it new and interesting ways!
Here’s three ways to wear it:
1. Belt It
The ultimate lazy girl style hack that happens to look totally chic (even while super prego!). Belt it over a turtleneck and leggings or jeans and a tee like I've done here and you’re instantly dressed! As a busy mom on the go, this look is my to-go multiple times each week.
2. Show Your Underlayers
Love colors and prints? Try a bold combination, like a print sweater over a striped collared blouse, and wear your coat open to show off your handiwork.
3. Make a Cape
One of my favorite fashion editor-inspired looks is a coat draped over the shoulders, instead of worn with the arms pulled through. It’s an easy way to add instant elegance to any look, whether it’s a workwear outfit or a formal dress, and an excellent solution for tops that have voluminous sleeves that don’t quite fit through arm holes!
