I used to think that wearing anything oversized made me look bigger, so I never even dared try, but the more I experiment with oversized tops paired with fitted bottoms, the more I’m loving this silhouette! As a proud girl with curves, it’s very rare that I put something on and feel I actually look slimmer than I am, and a silhouette like this definitely creates this effect- and it can do this for everyone and anyone, no matter what shape or size you are.

I’ve been getting lots of comments on social media lately asking if I’ve lost weight, and the truth is, I haven’t lost a single pound (I’m actually 10 pounds heavier than I was before having my son almost 2 years ago)! What you’re seeing is either a strategic pose (more on this coming in a post very soon!) or the fact that I’m just dressing differently- wearing clothes that are more flattering to my figure. I love my curves and am certainly proud of them, but as I get older, I’m starting to really like the look and feel of clothing that skims the body versus the curve hugging pencil skirts and dresses I used to wear years ago. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy rocking a bodycon dress on occasion, but for me fashion isn’t about wearing what makes you look good, it’s more about what makes you FEEL GOOD! Because when you feel good on the inside, your confidence radiates on the outside.
