I’m kicking off the new year with one of my favorite series here on the blog, showcasing 1 item 2 ways. This time, how to style a utility jacket-worn casual for daytime and dressed up for a dinner date.

I’m often asked how I decide to add items to my closet, and beyond plain loving how something looks on, my answer is always the same: versatility. This is the third utility jacket I’ve added to my wardrobe (see my other two here and here). Each time one makes its way into my closet, it ends up becoming my daily go-to because it looks great over everything. For casual daytime looks to nights out, a utility jacket is any girl’s closet staple, regardless of personal style.

This one is special because of its bell sleeves and bracelet sleeve length, which is something I happen to adore in a coat or jacket. A bracelet sleeve allows not only allows for an arm party, but also allows room for a great layering affect, showcasing the longer sleeve under layer.

Do you own a utility jacket yet- how do you style yours? Tell me in the comments!
