I adore the ease of a simple tee paired with a statement skirt like this one which by the way is currently on sale for under $25!). And if ruffles were ever having a moment, the time would be right NOW. With so many blue, ruffled wrap skirts to choose from right now in virtually every size, it’s no wonder I had a hard time finding the perfect one!

I’ve been on the lookout for a skirt like this since last year, and none drape as well as this on someone with hips as wide as mine (53 inches to be exact). And while I’m not one to shy away from something that isn’t “flattering,” adding bulk with ruffles isn’t something I’m a fan of overall, because it can read very Carmen Miranda Halloween costume pretty quickly. Luckily, this one has the perfect balance of subtle ruffle detailing, a great A-line wrapped silhouette and most importantly it’s a perfect midi length!

A piece this special is a quick addition to my wardrobe, especially when I can dress it down so easily – major style points for that alone.
