As a person who’s always pressed for time, I often do lots of last minute planning, so I wanted to take the time to share some last minute budget-friendly Valentine’s Day gift ideas.

Whether you’re short on time and need a last minute idea, or you’re looking for something unique and thoughtful, these gift ideas are sure to impress your special someone!

Dinner and a Movie IN

Even if you aren’t an amazing cook, your significant other will appreciate you taking the time to make his or her favorite meal, followed by that movie they’ve been wanting to see, or the one you’ve already seen 10 times that makes you both laugh (or cry!) every time. Not into cooking? Order in from his/her fave restaurant!

Impromptu Photo Session

Outside of selfies, most of us haven’t taken actual photos with our significant other in years! To make this Valentine’s day extra special, grab and friend, a phone, and have them take pictures of you and your loved one. They don’t have to be taken at a park or with a fancy background, just the simple gesture of having a picture of the both of you you can frame or use as a screensaver is enough to make you both smile.

Give a Massage

I think it’s safe to assume that for most of us, there’s nothing better than a massage after a long day, so get your significant others’ favorite lotion or oil ready, and massage away! (Bonus points for foot massages!).

Write a Love Note

This may seem obvious, but with electronics ruling our lives, the art of taking paper to pen is lost! Taking the time to write a note is a special way to express your feelings and create a memory you can look back on.
