ON NARAYAN
Pumpkin picking with a toddler is a lot of fun, but wow is it a lot of work! This year’s pumpkin patch adventure consisted of less running after Narayan (now that he’s a little over two and a half), and more cringing as he jumped over piles of hay and pumpkins. Aside from outings like this making me very nervous in the potential for disaster department, nothing makes me happier than seeing him explore and enjoy the outdoors, especially during special occasions like Halloween.
As mentioned in my previous post in partnership with Band-Aid & Neosporin, keeping first aid supplies within reach is a must with so many opportunities for scrapes and cuts while exploring parks, farms and even pumpkin patches. In addition to keeping a kit in the car, I always stock up on Narayan’s fave Finding Dory Band-Aid Bandages, Neosporin, All-In-One Gauze and Water Block Bandages– a lifesaver for protecting cuts while doing activities that require any type of water, like bath time, washing dishes and carving pumpkins! I keep first aid supplies in a container in the car and a small bin at home so everything’s easy to access in one place.
Now that we’ve gotten through our Halloween preparation without any accidents our first aid kit couldn’t handle, it’s time to finalize costumes! Narayan wants to be a fireman or pirate and I’m still deciding between Frida Kahlo and Cleopatra.
