Paisley Print Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are the ultimate summer wardrobe staple in my book, but a great print is hard to come by! Luckily, this month at Old Navy is all about the explorer trend- think delicate prints and lightweight fabrics, perfect for summer explorations. Old Navy always has great of-the-moment offerings, and I’m really loving their collection of printed maxi dresses in particular, especially since most are available in petite, regular, tall and plus!

This paisley print maxi is a recent find, and although it’s on the colorful side, it passed my versatility test with flying colors. I wore it out for a casual dinner with heeled sandals right before we shot these images, while I paired it with flat sandals and a sun hat earlier in the day. 

Have trouble finding the right length maxi dress?Tying a knot at the bottom is an easy trick for making a maxi dress of any length work, whether it’s too short or too long. Due to the length of the dress not quite grazing the floor how I prefer my maxi’s, I tied one side into a knot to mimic an asymmetrical cut, which also adds a sense of casual ease, since maxi’s tend to look a bit dressy in general, when worn with heels.
