I recently had a lengthy conversation with my sisters about skincare and aging. Although I have 4 younger sisters – Alea 35, Chelsey 30, Jazmen 26, and Daysha 22, we each have a very different approach to beauty.

As a licensed esthetician, my focus has always been skincare and sun protection. My youngest sister loves to experiment with makeup, my middle sisters are just now starting to incorporate a skincare routine into their daily beauty regimens, and Alea has been on the skincare train with me since our early 20s.

Our conversation got me thinking about my own beauty routine, so I thought it was the perfect time to do a quick update here on the blog!

Here is my daily skin, hair and makeup regimen, along with the products I’m currently using:

No matter what type of skin you have, it’s important to care for it. My complete skincare regimen consists of cleansing, toning, protecting against UVA and UVB rays throughout the day, and moisturizing morning and night.

This is my favorite AM cleanser, which leaves my skin feeling fresh and my complexion glowy. After that, I tone, apply an eye cream, moisturize my entire face and neck, then apply sunscreen and lip balm.

For nighttime, I prefer this cleanser, followed by toning, the same eye cream I used in the am, and a moisturizer.

Whether your hair is straight or curly, thick or fine, healthy hair is beautiful hair! Aside from my regular hair routine of shampooing and conditioning once per week and co-washing in-between, I rejuvenate my curls once per month with a deep conditioner.

If I’m wearing makeup, my go-to look consists of concealer under the eyes, a mineral based foundation, mascara, brightening white eyeliner on the water line, this blush in Coppertone, and a pop of color on my lips

For non-makeup days, I typically conceal under my eyes and apply lip balm.
