While I don’t wear shapewear on a daily basis, I have moments when I need a little extra help smoothing everything out. Since becoming a mom, my weight has shifted a bit- my waist isn’t as small as it was, and my stomach isn’t anywhere near as flat, so I rely on shaping garments much more than before, especially to smooth my tummy area.

I’m extremely particular about foundation garments, and any stylist will tell you that no matter what size you are, a great foundation is the key to an amazing outfit. Most shapewear claims to nip and tuck, but the majority are unflattering and uncomfortable, causing bulges in odd places, often rolling down at the worst times!

Some of my most tried and trusted intimates are from Wacoal, so when I heard about their new Zoned 4 Shape collection, I couldn’t wait to see if the brand would live up to its reputation. After recently adding the three pieces below to my shapewear collection, I’m happy to report that each did exactly what it claimed to: comfortably slim, redefine and flatter natural curves with firm control.

Shapewear Must Haves

LONG LEG SHAPER

Provides tummy, waist + thigh control (my favorite!), great for fitted silhouettes like pencil skirts and bodycon dresses.

Controls midsection, shapes thighs, lifts and shapes rear, silicone waistband stays in place.

HI-WAIST SHAPE BRIEF

Provides tummy + waist control, my favorite to wear underneath fit and flare dresses and flowy skirts. Also, the waistband is silicone so it stays in place, while firmly controlling the midsection.

CUPLESS CAMISOLE

Provides tummy + waist control, meant to be worn with your favorite Wacoal bra, this one’s mine!

Amazing underneath blouses and tees of any kind, and pairs well with both the shape brief and long leg shaper, adjustable straps with firm midsection shaping.

Thanks to Wacoal for sponsoring this post.
