Lanikai Beach

Still getting through images from my recent trip to Hawaii! These were taken at my fave beach on the coast of Oahu, Lanikai. It’s hand down the best beach I’ve ever been to in Hawaii, with its beautiful crystal waters, powdery sand and postcard-esque scenery. (Note: It’s a private beach, so parking can be tricky, but there’s plenty of makeshift spaces throughout the neighborhood if you don’t mind hauling all of your supplies down the beach).

This was Narayan’s first official vacation and we really wanted him to enjoy the beach, so we let him completely go for it, hence the reason why I’m sprinkled in sand in most of these images! I try not to be a fussy mom when it comes to him getting dirty, but I have to admit I’ve become much more laid back as he gets older, thoroughly enjoying his explorative nature without worrying about germs and dirt. And my hubby will tell you, I’m much less uptight about my appearance these days, as it’s hard to avoid those messy toddler moments. Besides, I realize how much fun I’ve missed out on in the past, getting upset about sand in my hair and water in my face!

One thing that will never change though, is my need to feel good in what I’m wearing and my love for accessories- at the beach or not. While stacked bangles and rings can create funky tan lines if you aren’t careful, I just don’t feel like myself without accessories, so I brought along some pieces from PANDORA’s Summer collection. I mixed in the new sparkling tropical palm tree statement pieces with my beloved PANDORA Disney princess inspired Little Mermaid charms– so perfect, yet cliche for an island vacation, right?!
