I’m super flattered to have been asked by Old Navy to style and shoot a campaign for their latest swim collection. The selection of swimwear and accompanying coverups is one of the best I’ve seen, and major bonus: everything is budget-friendly!
Up until a couple years ago, I used to get total anxiety at the thought of going on any type of tropical vacation. But now with so many amazing beach wear options made to flatter and accentuate my curves, I look forward to planning beach vacations (and my water baby hubby is very happy about that)!
When packing for a tropical getaway, it’s important to take the ultimate beach essentials. This season, that translates to a couple of key swim pieces. First up, a high waisted bikini and a kaftan to throw on over your suit, that also doubles as a maxi dress. A look like this is perfect for walks along the beach, an easy breezy lunch date or a sunset dinner. While this kaftan is slightly see-through, I feel confident walking around in my bathing suit all day!

For days spent lounging at the pool or on the beach, I always pack a one piece and a kimono-esque cover-up like this printed one, that’s cute enough to wear with jeans and a tee after the sun goes down!
Swimsuit / Cover-up / Tote Bag
Speaking of prints, in addition to classic black, I’m also packing geometric and tribal inspired suits this season- they look amazing on their own or paired with cover-ups in solid colors.
