Whenever the holiday’s roll around, I’m excited to pick out the perfect dress for each event. This year though, instead of focusing on holiday fashion, I want to focus on keeping my skin healthy and feeling confident.
As a licensed Esthetician and former acne sufferer, skin care is a big part of my life. Helping others find ways to care for their skin and find new products is one of my greatest passions. Though I suffered from acne most of my adolescent, teen and adult life, over time, I’ve developed a skin care regimen that suits my skin type, keeps breakouts at bay, and helps me look and feel my best in social settings- especially during the holidays!
My personal care system consists of cleansing, moisturizing and protecting with SPF in the am and cleansing, toning and moisturizing before bed. If you suffer from acne, you may need a prescription product, in addition to these basics.
With the holidays around the corner and skin care treatments on my radar, I wanted to highlight Galderma’s stand-out acne product Epiduo® (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide) Gel 0.1%/2.5% since the holidays can be stressful for some and the stress is most likely behind many breakouts! I think Epiduo Gel is awesome because it is a dual-action prescription gel that treats the current breakout and helps prevent future breakouts with two antibiotic-free medicines that work together.
Though treating your acne can seem like a never-ending battle, based on my career in skin care, I’m here to tell you that it’s possible to completely change your skin with a strict regimen and the right products! Though skin care varies from person to person, there’s a solution to every problem, and a product like Epiduo Gel could be your clear skin solution.
To try Epiduo Gel or any other acne treatment, schedule an appointment with your physician (either a family doctor, dermatologist or pediatrician) to discuss an appropriate skincare/acne treatment regimen.
