My husband recently received a peculiar box in the mail shaped like a trunk. I was of course curious, because Dave isn’t a guy that receives packages at home, let alone shops online unless it’s electronics (and the only clothing related shopping he does is with me present, so this was something I had to look into)! To my surprise, it was a creatively packaged trunk full of clothes , shoes and accessories from a personal styling service called Trunk Club.
After doing some digging, I found out they recently launched a women’s personal styling service! I’ve talked about clothing rental services and even offered personal styling sessions myself in the past, but this is so different and genius.
Trunk Club isn’t a subscription service- there are no subscription fees and shipping is always free, both ways. The only thing you pay for are the items you love and want to keep!
With Spring creeping up fast and a couple business trips coming up, I had to try the service myself.
Upon signing up online, I was asked a series of questions about my fashion likes and dislikes, then I was connected with a personal stylist. Within 48 hours I was sent an email preview of what my stylist was packing in my personalized trunk, then I had 24 hours to provide feedback before the trunk was shipped to my home, absolutely cost free. Once it arrived, I had 10 days to try on everything in the privacy of my home, and decide what I wanted to keep or send back.
Not only was every piece in the trunk super cute, but my stylist really understood my mission to give my wardrobe a Spring refresh, and while the pieces were on trend for Spring, they were also classic and sophisticated, which aligns perfectly with my personal style.
In addition to the trunk service that serves women across the U.S., Trunk Club also has brick and mortar clubhouses in Chicago, NY, Dallas, LA and DC. If you’re in or near any of these cities, you can book an appointment to try on items in person, personally picked by a stylist.
Thanks to Trunk Club for sponsoring this post.
