I can’t believe we’re approaching the end of summer! Here in California, schools will be back in session within the next 3 weeks, so we’re busy buying uniforms for Narayan for Kindergarten, and other everyday essentials for non-uniform days.

I can remember back to my own elementary school days when back-to-school clothes shopping was one of my favorite things to do with my mom and siblings. As a parent though, back-to-school clothes shopping (and shopping for kids clothes in general) can be a major stress point. Not because it isn’t fun to refresh their closets, but because kids are constantly growing, so it’s hard for your wallet to keep up with the never-ending growth spurts!

To lessen the financial stress of back-to-school clothing shopping, I’m enlisting the help of Walmart, my most trusted affordable fashion source. I’ve mentioned how I’ve been able to add some great dresses to my own wardrobe this season via Walmart — this is my latest score I plan on taking to Hawaii with me next month! But today I wanted to take the time to focus on affordable back-to-school clothing shopping for kids.

Wonder Nation is hands down, mine and Narayan’s favorite brand to shop at Walmart. He loves all the casual graphic tees and I love the elevated everyday shirts, like the one he’s wearing here. Most boys shirts are either ultra casual or too dressy in my opinion, but they always have a great selection with a nice balance of the two. Their denim is also made from a great, heavy-duty fabric so it tends to last longer than most other budget-friendly brands we’ve tried. Best of all, they offer free 2-day shipping and returns for purchases over $35, which comes in handy when you’re an online shopper like me!
