…

The most important thing I consider when adding a garment to my wardrobe- other than how well it fits and how much I have to have it, is whether it’s versatile enough for my lifestyle. For me, there’s nothing better than a double-duty piece that works for business as well as after hours.

Not only is this dress (another recent Nordstrom plus find!) on trend for Spring with its modern black and white print, it’s also the perfect blend of business and casual, which adds to its office to weekend versatility.

Fit Notes:

The fabric is medium weight with lots of stretch, really comfortable and easy to move in. (Very important when sitting for long periods of time at the office, on a movie date or chasing after young children)! The fit is true to size, I’m wearing a 14W.

The silhouette is a flattering A-line that skims the upper portion of the body, flows and conceals curves on the lower half (which to me, makes it shapewear optional since it isn’t hugging every curve).

The neckline is actually a v-shape (as you can see here on the Nordstrom site), but I personally prefer a more conservative look (especially for business), so I safety pinned it. Pinning is an easy fix for dresses or blouses that are too low cut for the office, but work during off hours.

Thanks to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
