Knowing where things are made is one of my many obsessions, so when I had the chance to visit India last year, I couldn’t wait to create some treasures of my own.
Having access to raw materials that can be transformed into whatever your heart desires was such an amazing experience, and I took full advantage!
My first project was at a silver shop in Jaipur, where I assisted in designing a custom pair of earrings, decorated with India’s national bird: the peacock.
Next-up, authentic leather sandals dipped in silver per my request (to match the earrings of course!)
