If you follow me on social media- particularly facebook and twitter, you’ve probably realized that I’m a huge body positivity activist. The importance of showing women how to not only look good, but feel good, is my mission behind the blog.

In the world of fashion, there are few media outlets that focus on feeling confident in your skin, so you can image my excitement when I finally came across one with a similar mission to mine. BeauCoo is an online community that focuses on connecting women with other like-bodied and like-minded women, in order to share fashion tips, personal style, and encourage one another to step outside the box with fashion. The community is focused on spreading ’BoPo’ aka Body Positivity, and I couldn’t be happier to have found such a thriving community of positivity in the form of fashion sharing!

To demonstrate the importance of BoPo, I put together an outfit that represents me at my core- wearing my curves proudly, while debunking the fashion industry’s belief that a woman with hips as wide as mine shouldn’t be caught dead in light wash jeans, let alone skinny fit, with my shirt tucked in!

If you’re looking to share your personal style with women who act as a fashionable support system, join me on the BeauCoo iPhone or Android apps, and share your personal style images! I hope to see you there, spreading my two fave topics: fashion and #BoPo! (Find me under username GirlWithCurves).
