Breaking Denim Rules in Old Navy’s new Campaign

As most of you know, I have the honor of being Old Navy’s brand ambassador this year, styling a new trend each month my way and sharing it here on the blog and across social media. As if that isn’t enough of an honor, I recently took part in their new denim campaign alongside four other bloggers, showcasing our different bodies in different denim styles.

From overalls and flares to my beloved rockstar skinnies, the campaign is all about breaking denim rules– something I firmly stand behind. For me, that meant stepping outside my comfort zone of medium to dark washes and proudly showcasing my curves in a light wash. 

Long before I started working with Old Navy, I ranted and raved about their rockstar skinny jeans and how amazing they were for for all bodies, especially curves, so it’s no surprise I chose to wear this mid-rise rockstar skinny for the campaign! I love my rockstar skinnies- the fabric is stretchy enough to conform to my curves, but ultra soft, making them comfortable enough to move around in. 

To play up the casual vibe of the light wash, I chose a classic boatneck stripe tee, utility jacket and strappy sandals for the shoot. On a recent date night, I went for something a bit more grown and sexy, yet feminine and girly, in a flowy cardigan with lace details and sky high heels.
