Some women are hesitant to wear white jeans because they have a reputation for making your bottom half look bigger in an unflattering way. But that’s simply not true! White pants – and jeans in particular – are a crisp summer staple that literally anyone can pull off, no matter their shape, size or height. You just have to know how to 1) pick the right pair, and 2) style them correctly. In fact, white jeans have been my go-to lately while I’m taking a break from my usual denim, which can be a little too heavy for summer.
So, how do you find the right pair? The key is in the fabric. While there are a ton of options out there to choose from, look for thicker fabric that have some spandex in the blend so they act like shape wear. I’ve been living in white skinnies, which come in straight size (0-18), plus (16-30), maternity (0-18) and hug me and my baby bump in all the right places (and they’re not see-through in the panty-line area – very important!). They’re fitted through the hip and thigh and tapered at the ankle, making them a comfortable version of the skinny jean with a summery spin.
White jeans are a bit more upscale looking than regular denim, so I feel comfortable wearing them for work meetings paired with a pretty blouse and blazer, but also rock them on a daily basis with more casual tops, as I did here. This fun off-shoulder ruffle top falls at just the right spot to show off my curves, though white jeans really do look great with pretty much any top style.
